I tried with dice but even that doesnt solve the problem. :S
In Dungeonquest we used a different strategy to roll dice like in skat or Wizard to win a battle one turn.
Hmmm i will see how my other friends will like dice or rather just take the explanation of an early attack not to be the first choice.

I understand but the game is designed as it is, I am not agreeing that there is any problem here. I don't think it is valuable trying to turn the combat system for this game into something you prefer as in Dungeonquest.
Then play that game if you are extremely dissatisfied.
