Lets Keep the Dragon in its cave ok? :meeple:I just gave Dungeonquest as example, because in the Third Edition i didnt really liked it, the Revised did me a favor, but stole the Fighting thing from me. So the Designer gave me 2 Ways to see the whole Battle-Mechanic.
Thankfully as Mark already mentioned, are Boardgames sometimes really flexible and Dungeonquest is a game Ment to be changed after Some plays.
For example, i looked at the cards in DQ Revised and we decided to play Rock-Paper-Scissor(2 Dmg) and at least we had some more fun as hanging their with 3 cards ~_~ .. . I have a whole catalouge for the game if people like to play different variants.
But Runewars is whole big Apple different to DQ. If you change something here, it can bring the whole game down.
I don't want to change the game, like it is ment to be. I love it! I only scratched its surface and i cant wait to play it again and again.
But the Way you draw cards is not exciting and thats my opinion.
And as i mentioned, i tried different methods and looked at the odds and chances % and i cannot and will not add extra content to this game or want to change the Fate cards. They are so important and well belanced.
What i just seek is maybe just an impossible dreamy solution. Thats all.^^
And also yes, when i draw 1 card and my enemy draws one card, i dont get the feeling i am in a duel and its really important.
I am missing some thematic theme there. Something like, i draw 2 - 3 cards and i have to choose wisely which card i should play first.
