As mentioned, the cards are the same. FFG uses the smaller cards quite frequently, as they take up less table space, and in this case they don't need to be big to fit the info on them. The only big cards are, if I'm not missing any, the Order cards for each faction and the Quest cards.The only real physical differences are the mountains and faction sheets. The revised edition has a few extra cards for the new victory conditions, although those same cards are found in the expansion, as that's where the new condition was first introduced. Some minor text differences are also present, but nothing major (and can all be found in the document on FFG's site listing the changes) - the most significant one is the change to the Latari Sorceress' ability (the Latari player now chooses the target, which makes the unit actually useful now).
