I've finally started painting mine because you started yours. Mine have been sitting primed for several months and I finally painted some dragons this weekend. I'm still trying to get my hands on some sealer and need to figure out how I'm going to shade, but it's super fun! I'm glad Runewars has a nice little painting community here.

That's really cool you decided to start painting from seeing mine. I started for the same reason after seeing Jimzik's pictures, which are terrific. It is definitely a big commitment but it's worth it if you enjoy it. It was a gamble for me cause I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it since I never did it before.

As for shading and sealing, I am using Army Painter Quick Shade and have been very happy with it though you should read Jimzik's and my earlier posts regarding that vs min-wax in case you don't want to spend the $30 on it. Actually, for the next pictures, I'll be posting Quick Shade before and after pics for the undead Wyverns to show what a difference it made. I took off for the 4th of July weekend and I still have the reanimates and the archers to paint in that army so it will be a few days before that army is complete and I post the pictures.

An alternative to the quick shade is Army Painter's washes which are supposed to be the same thing but without the sealer and are only $4. I haven't used them though so I don't know how well they work.
