I'm not an expert on Mage Knight scenarios as the only time I have played it has been against eachother, but I know it has some scenarios that are co-op against the game. There are a handful of zombie themed games that are co-op (Zpocalypse jumps to mind). Arkham Horror is a good co-op game.

All of these games have a mechanic for determining who 'won' by having the most points from doing certain actions/killing enemies etc. If this kind of thing interests you I'm sure some of the other guys might have more ideas.

I can't speak to the other games but I can give my 2 cents on Mage Knight. IMO, it is a fantastic game, especially as Solo or COOP, but a VASTLY different game than Runewars. In Mage Knight, you control a single character (and his retinue, in the form of unit cards). You move and explore over a modular tiled map working towards a final conquest goal by building up your character. Other players do the same in either cooperative mode or in competition mode, the latter of which may include PVP if you choose that as a game setup rule.

If you are interested, I recommend watching Ricky Royal's videos. They are extremely well done and will give you a very good idea about the mechanics.

Runewars is an army building, resource management, empire building fantasy game. I don't think I need to add more than has already been posted.

Both are great games, but really, night and day in game play. And frankly, although I enjoy Mage Knight with other players, it absolutely shines as a solo game.
