I for one would have purchased the revise edition in order to get my hands on the new races.

I would have too... if i found the game on massive clearance somewhere

I keep reading these posts suggesting it is a poor way of doing business if FFG would have gone the way of publishing revised edition + new races.

Are you kidding ?
Would all of you tomorrow not pay for a expansion which includes new races ? you would have opened up your wallets instantly.

An expansion??? Abso-f***ing-lutely.... I don't think that is under debate by anyone. Just about all of us want new expansions.
But not as just part of the base game. It's not a game where having extra bits is useful... no reason to rebuy the base game.

and as for Publisher be good to their loyal first time buyers ??
you must be joking, this is business. 1st time buyer is just a one time
customer. But to have people keep returning to get more, thats good business.
What good are you if you just bought the game and in 5 or 10 years you kept the same game, what good is that to the publisher ?

That's why FFG makes expansions. Lots of them too! :)

I would have thrown the new races into the revise edition and say look you want new races, come and get it. You would have had to pay for the new races anyways ! if you do not want to because you can not afford it or you
are expecting a medal as a first time buyer , then suffer, go without.

And then you would end having many bad reviews of your practices and your customer base would go down. You would have to end make making shittier quality products to make your profit margins higher on each item because you don't sell that many. Then you would get more bad reviews... and would have to make even shittier products... then go out of business.

you guys think this is a happy family thing. Its business and the end all it matters is for the publisher to find a way to attract new customers as well as get the first time buyers to return and spend more money.

That's called expansions and reprints... not half-reprint-half-expansion.

This would have been a perfect way to satisfy both the new wave of customers and keep the veterans happy with new arrival of the races.

You would be one of the few veterans that would have been made happy by this.
