I agree with Ed here.I own both the 1ed and expansion for it.
So I have no interest in picking up the revised edition.
If they had done as you suggested it would have turned me off the game completely in terms of hoping for future expansions.
I still have hope that they will release the other two races in a nice big expansion.
Not sure how fruitless that is.
But had they put out those two races in the revised edition it would have turned many away.
Not only that but it would have made the existing expansion worthless for new players as it had pieces for the original 4 races. .
So I don't think they could have eif they wanted to.
I do think they have made an error though.
In not releasing further expansions for it.
They could easily do one more big expansion with the two other races.
Not sure what they could do past that though.
