Hmm, does that also mean, that all special abilities of all heroes, which refer to the "enemy hero", "the enemy fate card" and so on, are not applicable in duels against neutrals?

- Grey Ker's ability says to deal damage to an "enemy hero"; I'm guessing the intent is that such was meant to apply to the opposing figure in a duel.

- Mad Carthos' ability lets you deal your "opponent" one damage, which I would definitely say applies to neutral opponents in battle. (My statement above about opponents was in reference to areas, as in terms of areas, your opponents are the other players).

- Steelhorns also talks about "opponent", and I would apply the same logic as Mad Carthos.

That's all the hero abilities that would potentially apply to the question.

For rewards:
- Backbiter is an interesting one, since it refers to attributes; I'll have to see if I've gotten a ruling on that one. The way it's worded, though, I think this would only apply to enemy HEROES, and not neutral units.

- Soulbiter refers to "opponent" also, so the same as Mad Carthos above.

- Pacifying Rune also says "opponent", so the same.

- Black Ring says "opponent". Same.

- Mace of Aver says "opponent". Same.

- Elven Robe refers to an enemy hero, but affects their reward cards, so it wouldn't affect neutrals. (or even heroes with no rewards).

So in the case of duels, I would say "opponent" refers to the other participant in the duel, be it hero or neutral. Other than backbiter and the Grey Ker ability, though, no hero or rewards refer to "enemy hero".
