No, the expansion's little add-on sheets for the extra units are the thick cardboard used in the original edition (unless later printings changed that, but I haven't heard anything to that effect).
The one thing the expansion more closely matches the revised edition is that the expansion doesn't include 3d mountains for the areas that have red mountain borders.
