Here's what I got back:MY QUESTION
The "Valor of Heroes" tactics card (from Banners of War) reads:
"For this battle, each of your standing heroes in this area are treated as different circle units with initiative 2. These hereos may not use Rewards, do not contribute strength, and do not heal at the end of battle."
When using the Hero Support option from the Revised edition, it says to put the heroes next to the unit type they are supporting. Can Heroes still Support when using Valor of Heroes, or are they mutually exclusive choices?

When playing this card, the heroes are considered units instead of heroes for this battle. They cannot support while being treated as a unit.
