Revised Ed owners will experience the player board problem first with Banners of War. Punchboard appendage to cardstock.
What does this mean?

In the original printing of Runewars, the various faction Race sheets were thick punchboard. The expansion adds an "extension" to the race sheets for the additional units, also out of punchboard.

The revised edition uses thinner cardstock instead of punchboard for the faction sheets. Thus, with the expansion, the extension would not be the same material.

This is just an aesthetic change, however, and have no impact on gameplay.
Ok, thank you. So it's a fill up with the new unit types. Guess I should had understood that.

In my mind it didn't made sense for it to be punch out in the map tiles for mountains because there was no mountains for them so I couldn't get what it was all about (as I understood it it had no new factions so I didn't expected any new faction boards either.)

I haven't played Sid Meier's Civilization even though I've got the possibility to do so so I don't know how the boards are there and I haven't played either of RW or TI:III so I don't really got a feel for the old boards or the games either.

Likely should get to play them before purchase but I don't know whatever I can get a game or part of a game of each real soon now =P

Are the Merchant of venus boards of the new thinner quality to or do that use thicker boards? Or didn't that had dials and stuff to?
