What about combat cards randomness, does it win over dice or no and does expansion works with revised edition?
The combat cards for us doesn't have any more randomness than dice. I've enjoyed the combat card system. Sure, sometimes a battle can leave one side hurting and the other side getting really good pulls, but no more so than could happen with dice. I like the cards, they work well for the game in my opinion.
The expansion would definitely work with the revised edition; there are not many changes in rules, and those few changes that there are don't really impact the expansion. The only thing I can think of that's not completely clear is how the new Hero support rules work with Commanders (as written, I don't see why they wouldn't stack), but a lot of people don't like Commanders anyway, and with the new Hero support rules, the purpose behind commanders (getting Heroes more involved with the army game) is less needed. Since Commanders are just one small option in the expansion, even removing that doesn't hurt anything.
The expansion is where the Victory condition used by the revised edition originally came from, so getting the revised edition and the expansion would mean duplicate Road to Victory cards, but that's not a big deal (and it's only 4 cards).
I don't think compatibility is really an issue :)
