This game will probably take longer than the "regular" game of the original edition. And many of our Epic games went the full 8 years, and this version will certainly take less time since the most it can go is 7 years.However, if you really want to shorten the game, just don't use the Road to Victory rules and play by the original "first one to 6 runes wins" rules.
