My guess was that you can move heroes on mobilize & conquer only with armies, or at least it's not a separate movement.

We played on Saturday night. Revised rules + all expansion rules except Commanders.
I opted to add no rules for Hero movement via Mob/Con so they were allowed unrestricted movement through enemy territory and were not impeded by activation tokens.
Honestly I thought it worked fine that way. Only a handful of battles had Heroes involved and only one had more than one hero. The extra draw is neat but unlikely to be a game-breaker.
Most players opted to ramp up on Heroes. We were playing to 7 Runes (expansion cities) so Heroes spent most of their time questing for Shards. And killing each other for shards. I think we had more hero duels than any of our previous games.

The new Rune placement rules are excellent. The entire game became more aggressive and dynamic and the meta game of moving/bluffing tokens was a hoot. Abilities that reveal runes are now premium as there is little worse than investing yourself in a massive attack for a rune that is "obviously genuine" and getting fooled :P

Final Scores were Daqan Lords 7 (final year count, no outright win), Latari Elves 5 (was an aggressive killing machine all game and was unlucky with rune tokens, Should probably have won :)), Uthuk 4 and me with Waiqar on 1 (I had 4 rune tokens and the Dragon Throne. All my tokens were blank :P)

Everyone enjoyed themselves and agreed (after 1 play, caveat) that the new version was an improvement on the old. I was concerned at actually getting enough Runes out when aiming for 7 but we did ok. It might be possible for an unlucky season card setup to leave the game a little rune-light but we'll see.
