I agree that, according to a strict reading of the rules, the player was mistaken. However, I think this is an excellent idea for a house rule. Indeed, it makes more sense thematically (to me, at least) to play the way this player thought to play. That being said, it is always a problem when people have different interpretations of the rules. However, the rise of rules-lawyers to deal with these differences is rarely the best solution to the problem.↧
