We played Runewars with the new Revised Edition Changes last night & I thought it was an improvement on the original rules. The changes allow heroes to move with Mobilize and Conquer cards, and also to participate in battle, but the new rules document is quite brief. We had to make a few decisions on how to interpret the new rules and I wanted to see if anyone could clarify these or give their opinion.

The "Mobilize" and "Conquest" Order cards allow players to move heroes in addition to units.
1. We decided that heroes cannot move out of an area containing a friendly activation token with the use of one of these cards. This was based on Scott Lewis' opinion here although it does contradict with the original rules on p16 which state: "Heroes may also freely move out of areas containing friendly activation tokens."
2. We decided that unlike units, when heroes move with these cards they can move through enemy and neutral areas, as in the original rules (p16).

Heroes can support units in their area during battle.
3. Moving on to the new Hero Support rules, we played that multiple heroes could support the same type of friendly unit. After rereading the new rules and the example, I now think that this was incorrect so that at most one hero can support each type of friendly unit.
4. We played with the Commanders variant from Banners of War & decided that Commanders also act as Heroes Supporting Battles (as well as receiving their Commander ability). Jan Probst gives that opinion here and it makes sense to me, otherwise Commanders might be less useful than just having a supporting hero.
5. A battle occured in which the losing player already had a routed hero (from a previous battle), a routed Commander and a number of routed units in the contested area. Since the battle was lost, the routed units were destroyed (original rules p21), the Commander was destroyed (Scott Lewis' FAQ v12, p1) and we decided that the routed hero was not destroyed (since heroes are not units).
Please let me know if you think any of these interpretations are incorrect. Thanks.
