I'm curious to know if anyone has house ruled some winning conditions into Runewars.

It's not that I'm unhappy with the game, I really like it, I just feel like it could have a few other win condition variants.

I looked to Rune Age for inspiration, and thought a monument construction victory would be possible or maybe even a "conquest" victory if you have x number of cities and strongholds.

The monument win condition could be that you need to have your dials at X food, X wood, X ore and then you upgrade a stronghold, or even a capital using the expansion if you wanted, with your monument. So as to not change the dragon runes part of the game and keep them valuable, you can convert a dragon rune into a single resource. Keeping it fair, there could be some randomization in required resources for monument construction each game so as to not favor a particular faction but keep it that all players have the same resource requirements each game to build their monument. Maybe 12 cards that have 6, 7, and 8 on them and you state the resource and draw 1 card and that number indicates what your resource dial needs to be at for the game...so you could have 3 sixes or any combination.

Place the win condition on the current year you achieved the resources and monument and last a full year with it standing and you win. Something like that.

Has anyone actually made something like this?
