When applying damage to your units:- If you have a unit that already has damage markers, you MUST select that unit first.
- If you have no damaged unit, you can select ANY standing unit; this can be one that has already gone, one that is going in the present round, or even one that has yet to go. Sometimes the latter is good because those units have more health and are more likely to live; the downside is if you apply damage to those late units too early, they may end up getting killed off before they get their turn.
- You can only apply damage to a routed unit if you have no standing units left; even then, you must apply damage to an already-damaged unit first if possible.
For routs:
- If you have any standing, undamaged units, you must choose one of them to rout.
- If you have no undamaged standing units, you may choose to rout a standing damaged unit.
- If all your units are already routed, then further routs have no effect.
