Big name or not, I think most people that would just take his word for it because of his name are probably those that can't make any meaningful decisions for themselves.I do think negative reviews are more helpful, though - when I look at a new game, I focus on those to see what the "ugly" parts may be, and whether they seem like dealbreakers to me and whether they can be mitigated. If I get the game, it's often because I see that the negatives aren't as bad as the positives, or in some cases that the things perceived as negatives are in fact GOOD things in my eyes :)
