Priming in black and then dry-brushing the white leaves a really nice effect vs. priming in white and then washing the black on. I ALWAYS paint any armor area with black (for silver/steel) or brown (for gold/bronze). I usually only prime in white if I'm painting really light colors. Depending on the fig I prime in black, brown, grey or white. Priming the skeletons in white and then just adding the quickshade would be a lot faster. Try one fig each way and see what you like better. I just use the Testors Dullcoat and have had good results with it and you can paint on it!↧
