which is coherent again with the English rules. So, here too, it states that it does not matter for the duel if the defender is routed or not.
As for terminology:
German rules use the words "flüchten" and "zurückziehen" for "rout" and "retreat" respectively.
the closest translation for 'flüchten' is 'to flee' and for 'zurückziehen' its 'to withdraw'...
