So given that FFG removed a bunch of components from the previous edition do you think the game is over priced? Or fair value?
I thought the previous comment made that plain, but what has changed between the two editions can hardly be called removing a bunch of components.
The only thing that was removed were the 3D mountains, which were of a flimsy plastic similar to what plastic inserts are made of. Now they're just printed on the tiles. I'm glad I have the mountains, but I recognise they don't impact gameplay at all.
The other component change is the player boards that were switched from thick cardobard to light stock similar to the player boards in FFG's Civilization.
Everything else is still in the box, including all of the miniatures.
Thanks. I was just trying to gauge how much the new edition had reduced in comparison to its predecessor. Descent 2.0 certainly short changed in my opinion. Far less minis and less in general :(
