Yes, it's not my native language - me and my friends call “trash talk“ when you argue somebody into doing something without real arguments. There are many situations in multiplayer games when somebody has opportunity to influence game by giving someone else advantage or disadvantage and at the same time it is not clear who has advantageous position. Then all you can do is “trash talk” :D
