It's a big game. But it's not really that hard to learn. The rules are actually pretty good for FFG rules, having lots of good examples about how to do things.Best way to learn is to run through some turns, either solo or with a buddy. Just pick 2 factions, set up the game, then run through a couple years' game time to see how things work. It's actually fairly simple in execution, but the complexity comes from the timing of your orders.
