can you give an example?
In Game of Thrones holder of Iron Throne (the King) decides on all ties in bidding. So you can talk the King into giving you big advantage by moving you higher on other two tracks in case of ties.
In Dominant Species card effect of Dominance cards often give advantage or disadvantage to more than one player, so again, if you are not assertive you are in problem.
In Twilight Imperium fleet is built and moves much more freely than in Runewars, so it is easier to attack which is excellent opportunity to talk somebody into attacking your opponent.
In Runewars most of these situations are prevented by game design.
But the first thought should always be: whats the benefit for me.
In AGOT, the holder of the iron throne decides ties and should only consider weakening the greater thread. You can talk as much as you want, I won't benefit you if someone else is the bigger threat. :)
with Runewars? What game mechanic prevents me in a 3 player game to be "persuaded" into attacking the other, calm player?
